Become a Volunteer

The Bristol Aero Collection is run entirely by volunteers, without whose help the collection would not open. New volunteers are always welcome, and there are various ways in which you can help. You do not need to have any specialised skills, or a detailed knowledge of the all the artefacts on display in the Collection - enthusiasm and some spare time are the most important requirements!

Museum stewards and guides, and shop assistants are always required throughout the year, especially during events.

Give a Financial Donation

The Bristol Aero Collection is a registered charity, and cash donations make a significant impact on the day to day running of the museum, and on its collection policy. The BAC is a member of the Gift Aid scheme, where the government adds an additional 28% to any donations made by applicable tax payers.

Donate Artefacts or Other Items

The Collection is always interested in receiving donated or loaned items which are relevant to the museums collection policy. This includes - aircraft and aircraft parts, models, documents, books, other memorabilia.

In addition there are many other items we are always in need of. These include :

  • mannequins or dummies
  • display cabinets and boards
  • mechanical and engineering tools
